Test Theory (Amino Acid Analysis)

Simple Example

The table below(1) illustrates how the amino acid test provides evidence for paleoDNA preservation.

The table shows 26 individuals (human and animal), their radiocarbon ages, the results of the amino acid test, and the success in obtaining paleoDNA.

Without going into details (available in the technical explanation), you can see from the table that a favorable amino acid test result proved a good indicator of paleoDNA preservation.

The MicroAnalytica amino acid testing service provides you with this information.
